Holiday Delivery Schedule

We wish to inform you about our upcoming holiday schedule. Our two store locations and delivery services are closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. In addition, delivery services will not be available Friday, November 29 (the day after Thanksgiving) and Tuesday, December 24 (the day before the Christmas holiday).

• For deliveries needed prior to Thanksgiving, please call by 5pm on Tuesday, November 26 to receive your order on Wednesday, November 27. Orders placed on Wednesday, November 27 will be delivered on Monday, December 2.

• For deliveries needed prior to the Christmas holiday, please call by 5pm on Friday, December 20 to receive your order on Monday, December 23. Orders placed on Monday, December 23 will be delivered on Thursday, December 26.

We’d like to ensure that these upcoming days without delivery do not negatively impact you. Our staff can work with you to stock up on extra items in the days and weeks leading up to the holidays. If you have any questions about these schedule changes, please give us a call at 802-861-9723.

Free Holiday Meal Deliveries & Community Meals

Thanksgiving Day

Open to all residents in the Greater Burlington area. Hosted by St. Mark’s Church and North Avenue Alliance Church. The meal includes a turkey dinner and all the traditional fixings.

For meal delivery:
Please call Bruce Crady at 802-233-2253 to register. If leaving a message, please specify your name, the number of meals requested, any food allergies, your address, and any special instructions for getting to your door (stair location, access code, etc).

For the sitdown meal:
North Avenue Alliance Church

Christmas Day

Open to people ages 50 and up. Hosted by HANDS (Helping and Nurturing Diverse Seniors). The meal includes a ham dinner or vegetarian lasagna. In partnership with Age Well, Burlington School Food Project, Michelle Charron, Elks Club, Penny Cluse Café, Temple Sinai, and others. Learn more at www.handsvt.org

For meal delivery:
Please call Age Well at 865-0360 between December 2 and December 19 to reserve a meal. After December 19, please call Megan Humphrey at 864-7528.

For the sitdown meal:
Elks Lodge

No reservation necessary, but if you need transportation, please call Megan Humphrey at 864-7528.

Regular Order and Delivery Schedule

City Market offers a delivery service for customers in Burlington and Winooski. For all other locations, deliveries up to 5 miles from City Market will be considered on a case-by-case basis. City Market’s delivery service operates 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, from our Downtown store location.

For the five senior housing buildings in Burlington free delivery days are offered:

Minimum Purchase Amount and Payment Options

All delivery orders must total $15 or more.

All forms of payment may be used, including cash, check, EBT, credit/debit & gift cards. Food-for-All discounts, Senior discounts and Member Worker discounts can be applied.

Please note: We will no longer take new orders or changes to orders by voicemail. If your call goes to voicemail, please leave your name and contact information and we will return your call to take your order information as soon as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

I placed an order on Friday. When can I expect it to be delivered?
Orders placed on Fridays will be delivered the following Monday.

I placed an order but would like to make a change. Up to what time can I call to make a change?
Changes may be made until 5pm the day before your delivery is made. Please call and speak to a staff member to make a change. Please do not leave changes over voicemail.
