"Dirty" Maple Chai Latte

There are so many great Vermont beverages available at our Co-op, but during these winter months, you're probably craving something warm and cozy! We know we are! How about trying a "Dirty" Maple Chai Latte?

Brew up some spicy local chai, add a shot of your favorite espresso to make it “dirty”, add a touch of maple syrup to sweeten, and top with steamed milk. Bonus points for keeping it local!

Enjoy the bold flavors from right here in our great state!

Pineapple Green Smoothie

For a thicker smoothie, use frozen pineapple chunks as well as the sliced, frozen banana. Make your own frozen fruit for smoothies by cutting up fresh pineapple and bananas and freezing the pieces on a baking sheet; then transfer to a zip-close bag for storage. Drained canned pineapple freezes just as well as fresh.

Homemade Grenadine

Did you know real grenadine, the sugary sweetness that defines a Shirley Temple, is actually made from pomegranate juice?  Make your own at home and avoid the cherry flavoring and preservatives of store-bought varieties!

Homemade Eggnog

Eggnog is traditionally made with raw eggs. To minimize the risk, we recommend using organic, fresh eggs. Consuming raw or undercooked eggs can increase your risk for certain food-borne illnesses, especially if you have a medical condition. If you are concerned about using raw eggs, please see the note below on how to create eggnog that has been cooked.
