In late summer, fresh blackberries make for a unique and tasty pizza topping.
Preheat oven to 500F.
Roll out the pizza dough and lay on a pizza stone or heavy pan. Drizzle with olive oil. Smash blackberries and place onto dough. Top with sliced mozzarella and parmesan. Season with salt and pepper Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and add dollops of ricotta to top of pizza. Place back in oven and bake for 30 minutes more. The cheese should be bubbling and starting to brown.
Remove from oven and serve topped with fresh basil.
