Ingredients
2 cups flour
3⁄4 cup butter
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup water (cold )
2 apple
1⁄2 cup cheese, cheddar (shredded)
1⁄2 pound bacon (cooked)
1 egg (beaten)
Instructions
Mix together flour, butter, salt, and water. “Cut” the butter into the dough. Roll out dough onto floured surface and cut out 15 circles.
Beat eggs with water and set aside.
Fill circles with 1 Tbsp. diced apple, 1 Tbsp. cheddar, and 1 slice cooked bacon. Fold over and crimp edges together. Brush with the beaten egg mixture. Make a few sliced in the dough, to allow them to vent while cooking.
Place the turnovers on a cookie sheet lined with ungreased parchment paper. Bake at 250F for 25 minutes, turning over halfway through baking.
