Struffoli

Struffoli is a Neapolitan Christmas pastry that makes an eye-catching dessert or gift. Crunchy on the outside and light inside, struffoli are little balls of dough made with lemon and orange zest that are fried and then glazed with honey. Topped with a shower of colorful sprinkles or powdered sugar, they are as beautiful as they are delicious! We will make homemade struffoli as well as a simple and elegant Italian dessert of chocolate covered figs. Antonino DiRuocco from Capri, Italy was formerly a chef at Villa Tragara Ristorante (now Michael’s on the Hill) and has won numerous awards for his rustic and traditional Italian fare.
