Sauerkraut is a tasty, versatile, healthy food! It's also easy and fun to make at home. This class will take us through the basics of the lacto-fermentation process with three different recipes, including a Central American version called curtido made with homemade pineapple vinegar! Each participant will take home a jar of their favorite sauerkraut. Jason Frishman heads up the FolkFoods stand at the Burlington Farmer’s Market and enjoys making and teaching fermentations year-round.
