Roasted Grapefruit with Cinnamon

Warm grapefruit with caramelized brown sugar is a delicious breakfast treat or after-dinner palate cleanser.

Roasted grapefruit

1 grapefruit
2 teaspoons brown sugar (or raw sugar)
1⁄8 teaspoon cinnamon, ground


Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Use the roast setting if you have it.

Cut the grapefruit in half and run your knife around the edge of the grapefruit to separate it from the peel, then run the knife around each of the segments.

Sprinkle each half with a teaspoon of sugar and dust a little cinnamon over the top. Roast the grapefruit 15 minutes, until the sugar caramelizes on top.
