This crunchy salad is a customer favorite from our Deli Department! 


2 cups
cabbage, Napa (finely sliced and chopped)
1 1/2 cup
cabbage, red (finely sliced and chopped)
1 cup
carrot (shredded)
1 cup
bell pepper, red (julienned)
1/2 bunch
cilantro, fresh (chopped)
1/2 bunch
scallion (chopped)
peanuts (roasted, optional)
1/2 cup
vinegar, rice wine
1/4 cup
2 tablespoons
sesame oil, toasted
1/2 cup
3 cloves
garlic (peeled and minced)
2 teaspoons
sesame seeds, toasted
1 teaspoon
red pepper flakes (or to taste)
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste )


Wash and prepare the vegetables. Mix the dressing ingredients together starting with the rice wine vinegar in a blender or food processor. Toss the vegetables with some of the dressing adding enough that the veggies are well coated (This recipe will make over a cup of dressing so you’ll have some left over for use on future salads.) Top with roasted peanuts and serve.
