The People's Farmstand is a Burlington-based pop-up farmstand providing free local, organic produce. They believe that all people should have access to food that is culturally significant and is produced using environmentally conscious methods and fair labor practices. In partnership with The People’s Kitchen, they set up weekly in target neighborhoods to break down barriers to the typical farmers market experience, such as transportation and cost.

Volunteer Opportunities

The People's Farmstand has a variety of tasks available for volunteers. There are gardening shifts that involve weeding, harvesting, washing, and packing vegetables. There are farmstand shifts that involve handing out and restocking veggies, talking with community members, and sharing other food access resources. Lastly there are transportation shifts, helping to load and unload all of the produce. By offering a variety of volunteer tasks, they aim to ensure that there will be opportunities for everyone, regardless of ability and experience.
