Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

At both City Market locations, we offer Electric Vehicle Charging Stations where Members and customers can charge their EV car while shopping. We use a system called ChargePoint at both locations and the stations operate on a first come, first serve basis.

What is ChargePoint?

ChargePoint brings electric vehicle (EV) charging to more people and places than ever before with the world’s largest and most open EV charging network. They design, build and support all of the technology that powers this network, from charging station hardware to energy management software to a mobile app. Their work transforms transportation and energy use by helping more people choose to drive electric.

Downtown EV Charging Station

At our Downtown location, we have one charging station, which uses the ChargePoint CT4020-HD-GW that has the standard J1772 plug that works on the majority of EV cars. The voltage at our Downtown EV Charging Station is 208v 30 amp and is a regular slow charge.

Due to the high demand for charging, we ask that you please follow the guidelines below:

  • Charging limit is 4 hours at a time
  • Charging available during business hours only (7am-11pm at our Downtown store)
  • No overnight charging 
  • Please check in with Customer Service prior to charging and when charging is complete (you need a key to open charging box)


 

South End EV Charging Station

At our South End store, we have two charging stations and use the ChargePoint CT4020-HD-GW that has the standard J1772 plug that works on the majority of EV cars. The charging station is 240 volt charge, which is known as a level 2 charger. 

To use the ChargePoint station at our South End store, you will need a ChargePoint issued card or use the App on your mobile phone, which you can obtain on their website. 

South End EV Charging Guidelines:

  • No overnight charging/parking
  • No need to check in with Customer Service
  • Charging available during business hours only (7am-9pm at our South End store)
