Board of Directors Elections
Build the Future of our Co-op
One of the benefits of being a Co-op Member—and one of our seven cooperative principles—is the ability to elect the Co-op's Board of Directors each year. Additionally, Co-op Members seeking to have a greater impact can run for the Board of Directors and help shape the direction of the Co-op’s future. Learn more about the ways to participate in Co-op governance.
Board Elections
Elections for Co-op Board of Directors are held annually in October. Board Members generally serve a three-year term. Following the application process, finalists will have the chance to address Members at our annual Member Meeting. Candidates will be chosen by a simple majority. The three candidates who receive the most votes will be elected for a three-year term, starting in January each year. When a Co-op Board Member vacates a seat before the end of their three-year term, the Board of Directors may appoint a new Board Member who will serve until the next election.
