Plan Ahead: Construction, Marathon & Other Updates at City Market
Spring is in full force here in Burlington, Vermont, and that means projects and events come alive. From city construction projects and the Vermont City Marathon to our own exciting evolution at City Market, here’s what you need to know to plan ahead for a seamless trip to our stores this spring.
Access to South End Store During Marathon May 25
On Sunday, May 25, street closures for the Vermont City Marathon will affect access to our South End store, especially between 7:30 – 11 a.m., and create delays getting around town. From 7:30 - 8 a.m. we anticipate there will be no access to our South End store due to heavy runner density. From 8:30 - 11 a.m. we expect sporadic access with the support of a police officer on-site to guide traffic between runners. Both stores will be open regular hours. Learn more about the marathon route, closures and delays on the RunVermont website.

Downtown Store’s South Union Entrance to Close Starting May 27
Beginning Tuesday, May 27, the South Union entrance to City Market’s Downtown location will be closed for construction on the former YMCA. Find the latest project updates on the City of Burlington’s website.
