Description

Try this cheesey chive butter on top of your favorite grilled vegetables.

Ingredients

2
butter, unsalted (sticks, softened)
4 tablespoons
cheese, blue (or gorgonzola, finely crumbled)
3 tablespoons
chives, fresh (minced)

lemon juice (squeeze)
1/2 teaspoon
black pepper

salt (to taste )

Instructions

The directions to make any of these recipes are the same. To make your compound butter, first soften the unsalted butter in a bowl large enough to mix in. Then add the remaining ingredients of the recipe you choose, or from one that you make up! Mix everything together until the mix-ins are distributed evenly. Divide your recipe in two, and place each half of the mixture onto its own piece of plastic wrap or wax paper. Wrap up the butter and roll out into a log. Chill for 30 minutes to harden (it may have softened even more as you worked with it) and then it’s ready to serve!
