Plant Dye Workshop with Joann Darling

Thursday, March 10, 2011
12:30pm - 2:30pm

Why is it that the colors from dye plants feel so comforting?  It may be because they reflect Nature Herself. In this workshop you will learn how to extract beautiful warm colors from flowers, skins and barks.

You will learn the myriad of colors that can be obtained from the plants in your gardens, meadows and forest.  You will learn step-by-step how to process and prepare the plants, wool fibers and dye baths.  Samples and handouts provided.

Joann Darling's life work is the growing and nurturing of plants.  A Vermont Native, she stays close to the land where she continues to learn and teach about the amazing gifts we receive from the plant world.
