Our Co-op, Our Community – Why Local Matters

With a new year, there is always time for pause, time for reflection, and time to take in what has changed and what we can change in the new year. This past year has felt heavy, be it in our own little community here in Burlington, but more so in our larger community.

Our hearts, our emotions and our business feel the stress of the world, and that has given us a newfound passion to dig deep into our core values here at the Co-op and remind folks what we are all about. Over the next few weeks, we will be tapping into why we as a Co-op feel the need to support our community more now than ever. We will share why our relationships with our vendors, farmers, bakers and makers are imperative to our ecosystem and why now in troubled times how much supporting local matters.

We are all empowered to make a difference, so let’s take the time to do it together and work towards a brighter future.
