Join City Market for the next installment of our outdoor cooking series at the Intervale Center, where we’ll learn to make Beautiful Buddha Bowls with Sue Sullivan. These plant-based bowls are packed with a savory rice, black bean, tomato, and corn medley, and accompanied by local grilled vegetables and other local produce. A fresh, lively, colorful, flavor packed experience with Southwestern accents that will surely create a dance party for you and your “taste” buds!! Please note, due to COVID-19 and physical distancing recommendations, hands-on learning opportunities may not be possible in a given class depending on the required meal preparation.
Sue has a culinary background in managing/cooking for corporate accounts, restaurants and caterers, and enjoys a life that revolves around family, friends and sharing meals. She is the proud mother of two amazing sons (one is proprietor of Pingala Café) and is blessed with three wonderful grandchildren. She and Pete, her soulmate of 40 years, moved to Burlington, VT from MA in 2016 and enjoy hiking, exploring VT and other travels. She’s excited to teach a class in making a tasty, healthy, satisfying plant-based meal for you to enjoy and perhaps share on a hot summer day! Instructor proceeds from this class will be donated to “Black Lives Matter of Greater Burlington”.
