Have you ever wondered what Tibetan cuisine is like? In this class we will make two kinds of traditional Tibetan stuffed bread, Shabhaley and Tselbhaley. Sha in Tibetan means meat, tsel means vegetable and bhlay means bread. The two dishes will be stuffed with either ground chicken or vegetables and fried. At the end of the class we will be able to sit down and enjoy the delicious food we will make! This class will be taught by Kalsang Mentsang. Kalsang is Tibetan by origin, but was born in Nepal and raised in India. With her multi-cultural background, she love to cook food with influence from all three different countries. For the past 11 years, she has been running a small business called Tibetan Cuisine at the Burlington Farmers Market and lives in South Burlington with her husband and two daughters.
