What’s even better than handmade flatbread in the summertime with fresh, seasonal toppings? Flatbreads made with chewy, delicious sourdough! Learn the principles of sourdough (or get a refresher course) and discover how to apply it to making tasty sourdough flatbreads. Participants will try their hand at making their own flatbread with toppings of choice, and will take home a sourdough starter. Heike Meyer is the owner of Bee Sting Bakery in Fairfax, a small artisan bakery specializing in whole grain naturally leavened breads and pastries.
