Tarts, Pies, Pastries: Baking with Nuts and Whole Grains

Get ready for healthy spring baking: In this class, we’ll explore the endless possibilities for making pies, tarts and delicate pastries with nuts and whole grains. We’ll learn about the nutritious qualities of whole grain baking and how to handle these grains and nuts when baking your favorite pies and pastries. There will be ample time for questions and a tasting of different nut and whole grain pies and pastries at the end of class. Heike Meyer is the owner of Bee Sting Bakery in Fairfax, Vermont.
