Ingredients

| 3⁄4 | Cup | whole wheat pastry flour |
| 3⁄4 | Teaspoon | baking soda |
| 3⁄4 | Teaspoon | baking powder |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | salt |
| 1 | Cup | sugar |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | molasses |
| 2 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | vanilla |
| 1 | Cup | dark chocolate chips |
| 3 1⁄2 | Cup | rolled oats |
| 2 | eggs (large) | |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | cinnamon (ground) |
| 1⁄2 | Teaspoon | nutmeg (ground) |
| 1⁄2 | Pound | butter (unsalted, softened) |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper. Whisk together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, beat together butter, sugar, molasses, eggs, and vanilla. Stir the flour mixture into butter mixture until well-blended. Stir in chocolate chips and rolled oats. Drop heaping tablespoons onto cookie sheet and bake about 8-10 minutes, until almost firm when lightly touched in the middle. Makes about 3 ½ dozen 3-inch cookies.
