Description
The flavors of lemon, ginger and lavender go so well together! A match made in heaven...
Ingredients
| 1 | Cup | sugar |
| 4 | Cup | water |
| 4 | Ounce | ginger, crystallized (chopped) |
| 2 | Tablespoon | lavender buds (dried) |
| lemon zest (grated - from 2 lemons) | ||
| 1⁄2 | Cup | lemon juice (fresh) |
Instructions
Part One: The Lavender Ginger Syrup
1 cup of sugar
4 oz chopped crystallized ginger
2 tablespoons dried lavender buds
Grated zest of 2 lemons
1. Make the lemon ginger syrup, by blending all of the above ingredient in a food processor or blender until the ginger is in tiny pieces.
2. Put in a small sauce pan with 2 cups of water and boil for 1 minute. Strain into a bowl and discard the solids.
Part Two: The Lemonade
Lavender Ginger syrup
4 cups of water
½ cup of fresh lemon juice
1. In a two quart pitcher combine all ingredients and chill by either ice or refrigeration
