Havoc Mead, located in Colchester, VT is the newest member of the Vermont Craft Mead family.  They will be putting out 4 different flavors, all of them coming in at 6.9 ABV.

  • Bitter Bee hopped mead

  • Root of All Evil ginger mead

  • Psychopomp cherry mead

  • Fire-Drake chili pepper mead

Ricky and Kelly from Groennfell Meadery decided that there needed to be increased representation in the markets of Vermont for craft mead. They figured that the more meads that were out there, the more people would notice and get curious to try some. Ingenious move: They invited a gentleman named Erik to apprentice with them for 6 months, and then to start up a competitive endeavor. Not only did Ricky and Kelly show their new competitor the mead-ropes, they provided him a facility, equipment, and a tasting room for the curious. As a result, Havoc was born. Truly, a rising tide lifts all Viking longboats!

Currently City Market carries two flavors, The Root of All Evil Ginger Mead and Psychopomp, a Sour Cherry Mead. The Ginger is a dry mead that has a spicy ginger taste that pairs well with the honey. The Psychopomp is a tart cherry flavor that when mixed with the honey gives this drink an incredibly balanced taste.

You can find the Havoc in 4 packs in our front cooler, located with the ciders.
