Healthy City is Recruiting

Burlington Food Council is now recruiting kids between ages 13-16 for the Healthy City program at the Intervale!
Healthy City is a summer job-training program that teaches teenagers to grow and market produce while learning important job and life skills.  This year, Healthy City is hiring 15 young people to work in the farming community at the Intervale.  Youth will work four days a week farming, gleaning, preparing produce for storage and beyond season use, and cooking.  Participants will set individual and group goals and will work to achieve these goals throughout the season.  Together they will participate in many areas of farm work including harvesting, planting, weeding, and processing.

To apply: Pick up an application at the main office or talk to your guidance counselor!  Return it to Brianna Farver at the Intervale Center.  Questions?  Call 660-0440 x. 111 or email Brianna@intervale.org
