The Intervale Community Farm is a vibrant, member-owned, consumer co-operative that operates a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm in the Burlington Intervale, growing organic produce for their large membership and for extensive donations to the wider community. Now in their 35th year, ICF is one of the largest CSA farms in New England and they're very grateful to be producing food so close to an urban setting. They would appreciate your help with farm-related tasks this growing season!

Volunteer Opportunities

Your tasks will be varied, quite helpful and hopefully very enjoyable for everyone!  No gardening or farming experience is necessary, only a love for being out-of-doors!  Most weeks will entail weeding to help with veggies bound for ICF members as well as for veggies to be donated to Feeding Chittenden, the Vermont Foodbank, and to the Abenaki Land Link Project among other destinations.

Your City Market Member Work hours will be recorded by ICF Board member Bonnie Acker, and she'll be very glad to answer any questions you might have about helping-out for workdays.

WHERE: Intervale Community Farm workdays meet at our 281 Intervale Road, Burlington, parking lot, located at 281 Intervale Road, just past Gardeners Supply (on the right) and the CSWD McNeil Plant (on the left), keep going until you find the first driveways on the left after you run out of pavement on Intervale Road.

TIME: 7:00-11:00

Please feel free to come for the entire time or any part.  Every moment of your time will be treasured!
