Campaign Update: Thank you to our over 150 Member lenders! Our final deadline for the Member Loan Campaign was Monday, August 27, 2018. While we're still finalizing the paperwork and processing the final days' loans, our most recent tally shows that we are at about $1 million in Member Loans. All along the way, we had great conversations with Members and soon-to-be Members about the South End store and many other topics. Thank you for engaging with us in this way! We learned so much about, well, about Member Loan Campaigns and about you, the Members that we work to serve each and every day. We'll have more information to share soon on final numbers, so stay tuned!

____________________________________

Your locally owned food cooperative is truly a success story! Throughout our over 45 year history, Members have invested in the Co-op to ensure its sustainability, growth and success. In 2002, when we moved to the Downtown location, 55 Members loaned the Co-op almost $378,000. These loans were integral to ensuring the viability of the Downtown store’s success. Since that time, over 15 years ago, we have grown to over 12,000 Members and our sales have increased over 160%.

We just made another leap forward and we heard the excitement from many of you who were eagerly awaiting the opening of the South End store. Your engagement and your economic participation will once again ensure that our growth is sustainable and successful. If you haven’t visited the South End store yet, we’d love to see you and hear what you think.

We’re asking you to invest in the success of the Co-op as we’re in the midst of this next step to meet your needs and the needs of the greater community. Our goal is to raise $1.5 million in Member loans. At this time, we have over $800,000 in loans and we have just one week left! This is a loan, not a donation; it is an investment in a successful local business that you already partly own and fully believe in.
