The Dish: Food Waste
City Market and the Intervale Center have teamed up to create an exploratory series called The Dish. With support from ArtsRiot, we host quarterly panel discussions that dive into hot food issues with the help of local experts.
The Dish: Food Waste
Wednesday, December 7, 2016
5:30pm – 7:00pm
ArtsRiot, 400 Pine St
Doors open at 5:00pm. Cash bar.
Food waste is a buzzword these days. From buying “ugly” fruits and vegetables to industrial composting, food waste has become both a household and large scale topic. What policies already exist, or should exist, to help mitigate food waste? How are these policies helping or hurting individuals who are working to reduce food waste from field to plate? And what can you do, as a consumer, to make sure you are making full use of the food you have? Join us as we dive into these questions and gain insight from a panel of local experts for a lively discussion on food waste.
