Shacksbury Hard Cider

-

Colin from Shacksbury will be here to sample 2 of their hard ciders:

2013 DABINETT - The Perfect Winter Cider – Fermented with native yeast as our first ever single varietal cider, the Dabinett is an exceptional winter cider. The 2013 harvest of this apple was fabulous because it was a dry season, allowing for more concentrated flavors, and because it was sunny, which caused a higher-than-normal sugar level and, as a result, a longer and more robust fermentation. Smooth and full bodied with caramel, baked apple, and spice notes. Pairs with soups, stews and roasted meats.

2013 CLASSIC - Lightly sparkling, dry, and food friendly cider. Refreshing and balanced with ripe apple flavors and a savory finish. Made with hand picked apples, pressed in the fall at peak ripeness (apple varieties - Browns, Ellis Bitter, Dabinett, Michelin, and Somerset Redstreak). 5-month slow fermentation process, 5-month aging.
