New Food for All Member Program Provides 10% Food Discount

The new Food for All Program provides a 10% discount on all purchases (excluding wine and beer) for Vermonters who are eligible to receive Food Stamps; Women, Infants & Children (WIC); and Disability assistance.

Potential participants of the Food for All Program can present a variety of documentation as proof of eligibility. Customer Service representatives at City Market will accept grant award letters for Food Stamp, WIC, and Disability. In addition, an EBT card or a disability parking permit is also accepted.

The Program correlates with membership at the Co-op in a unique way. Current Co-op members who are eligible for the 10% savings need only to apply with their proof of eligibility. Non-members can receive the savings by becoming a regular member at $15/year or a non-shareholding member, which has no annual fee.

Food for All members will receive a Patronage Card which activates their 10% discount. When the card is show at the cash registers, or the member’s name is provided, the discount will be applied to the entire food bill (excluding wine and beer) at the time of purchase.

The discount will be valid for one year, and can be easily renewed with proof of extended benefits including Food Stamps, WIC and Disability. Membership and discounts will be activated within three to seven business days after a completed application process.

Private consultations with the Co-op’s Member Services Program Coordinator regarding eligibility or program details can be requested at the Customer Service desk or by calling 802-861-9707 or email at MemberServices@CityMarket.coop.
