Started in 2010 by Joe Bossen, Vermont Bean Crafters has grown from a little bean burger company to a purveyor of numerous gluten-free, vegan, GMO-free foods: burgers, falafel, spreads, baked goods, ferments, cooked and dried beans. For at least 8 months out of the year, 90% of Vermont Bean Crafters' ingredients are sourced from local farms (during the winter months, about 2/3 of the ingredients are sourced locally). You can find their certified-organic black bean burgers in our freezers and their falafel in prepared foods!
Vermont Bean Crafters is committed to creating a more sustainable and locally-based food system. As stated on their website, "We love being able to play a role in our neighbors becoming comfortable and habitual in their use of fresh whole foods, cooking meals from scratch with friends and family that nourish them while supporting a working landscape in their community."
