Pitchfork Farm is named after the spokesdog, Pitch. Farmers Rob Rock and Eric Seitz manage the 16 acre organic vegetable farm located down in Burlington’s Intervale - farmland that hugs the Winooski River just before it reaches Lake Champlain. Rob and Eric started their farm in 2006, growing staple and heirloom veggies.
The farm is known for their inventions which help them do farm work more efficiently: a household washing machine re-purposed to dry salad greens, a pedal-powered platform that helps the farmers pluck weeds, and a flame thrower-like contraption that kills weeds.
