It’s that time of year again. Whether you’ve got little ones in school or are headed back yourself, we know you’ll be stocking up on binders, pencils, snacks, and other classroom essentials. Here in the Wellness Department, we’ve got a few essentials of our own that can help you and the students in your life, start the year off feeling good.

For starters, you might want to visit our Aromatherapy section for some feel-good boosters like Wild Hill’s Energy and Air Cleanser. This locally made mister is a good thing to keep on hand for spritzing in crowded classroom spaces that need a little freshening and purifying. And, it smells good too!

Having trouble focusing? Take a look at Badger’s Grapefruit and Ginger Focus Balm. Take a minute to apply and reset when you’re feeling a little fidgety and need something to punctuate your breaks besides another Facebook login. These are easy to use for kids as well and can be sent to school easily in a backpack with no mess. Who says Aromatherapy is just for the spa?

If your worries are a little more geared to getting stuck with a bad rerun of last year’s “Attack of the Lice,” we can help you with that too. Our favorite natural treatment, the Fairy Lice Mothers’ shampoo, can be used preventatively, so as soon as you catch a whiff of an outbreak or even the echo of a whiff, you can pick some up and restore your peace of mind before your phantom itch comes back.

While you’re staying one step (or, maybe one mile) ahead of lice, you can also get ahead of the likely classroom plague, as well, which is bound to hit at least once this semester. Try GaiaKids Black Elderberry Syrup for a delicious immunity booster that you won’t have to try to remember to take. Mix it with seltzer water for a yummy elderberry soda, and maybe sneak in a little Echinacea tincture as well.

Whether you’re tingling with excitement, or trying not to think about it, we wish you success and harmony in the adventures ahead. Stay well.
