Portabella Mushroom Burgers

Description

These portabella burgers are great for the grill. Theyre a tasty option for a vegan or vegetarian-friendly BBQ... and delicious enough that even the meat-eaters will want one!

Ingredients

4  
portabella mushroom caps
1/4 cup
balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup
olive oil
1/4 cup
soy sauce
2 cloves
garlic
1 teaspoon
dried basil
1 teaspoon
dried oregano
   
salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

Cut the stems off the portabella caps. Whisk together the rest of the ingredients in a 9x13 baking pan. Marinate the portabella caps in the vinegar marinade for 30 minutes to a few hours. Preheat the grill or a skillet on the stove. Grill the mushrooms on both sides for 5 to 8 minutes until tender, brushing with marinade frequently. Serve on a hamburger roll with lettuce, tomato, and desired condiments.
