Ginger Cranberry Sauce

Description

Easy side dish, perfect for holiday meals.

Ingredients

1/2 cup
water
16 ounces
cranberries
2 cups
sugar
1/2 cup
orange juice
1  
orange zest
1 tablespoon
ginger

Instructions

Combine all of the ingredients in a heavy saucepan.  Cook over a medium heat until the berries pop open – about 10 minutes.  Remove from heat.

Skim foam off of the surface with a meal spoon and discard.  Cool to room temperature. 

Can be refrigerated, covered, for up to three months.
