I am personally counting down the days until rosé season begins because this year we'll have some fantastic deals on the pinks we all wish for when the grass starts to grow again. Here are just some of the selections that we'll be bringing your way for mud season:

  • Domaine de Couron, France: light pink with a bright, beautiful bouquet of fresh strawberries and watermelon, with notes of citrus zest. Light bodied, but full-flavored.
  • Laurent-Miquel, Languedoc, France: a pleasing pale pink, this sipper is the fruit forward epitome of South France.
  • Domaine de la Berthete, Cote du Rhone, France: well-balanced, with soft minerality and sweetness. Bright pink, with aromas of peaches and berries.
  • Elicio, France: a nose of watermelon and bright fruit flavor, with a creamy body and dry minerality.
  • Chateau des Annibal, Provence, France: brilliant, pale pink, fruity and dry. Flavors of peach and fresh notes of citrus and pineapple.

These are just some of the spring goodness ready to jump from bottle to glass.  Come on in and check out the rest!

A side note...

There is just one last thing that I'd like to mention: baseball season is upon us and the familiar background roar of the crowd and cracks of wooden bats that accompany us every day of the summer like the aroma of the next door neighbor's barbeque, building to its Autumnal crescendo of giddy anxiety, is nothing to be trifled with. We hear the buzz every day in the warmer months until it is white noise, something that is supposed to be there and can be taken for granted. Until it is gone. And whether your team won it all, or languished in the basement all year, when the time comes when there are no more games on the radio, you'll miss it dearly. Please enjoy the yearly renewal, the grass, the leaves, the bees, and the lazy clouds. Inhale deeply, smile, and Play Ball!

Until May.....Qapla'! -jb.
