Featured Community Connection: March

Mary Bardis, Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner, opened her private practice at 383 College Street, Burlington in January of this year. Her practice incorporates gentle acupuncture, Chinese herbs and homeopathic formulas along with diet and lifestyle guidance, in a fragrance free space.

Mary has been a health care professional for 35 years, starting her acupuncture practice in South Florida in 1998, after working for 22 years as a registered nurse. Her experience in Western and Eastern medicine gives her the rare ability to understand health and wellness from both perspectives.

Mary specializes in and is certified in NSEV (Non-Somatic Extraordinary Vessel) Healing, a method of treating and preventing disease that integrates the mind, body and spirit.  NSEV Healing is a modern adaptation of an ancient Chinese medicine and acupuncture healing system developed by Daniel J. Atchison Nevel AP. This system addresses a person’s core patterns of functioning, in addition to alleviating their presenting symptoms and physical and emotional pain, to achieve optimum wellness. The ultimate goal of NSEV Healing is to create a healthy balance among these internal functioning patterns, as well as overall harmony in the way a person interacts with the world around them.

Mary uses NSEV Healing along with Traditional Chinese Medicine practice to find the best solutions to her clients’ health concerns. She is also certified in Homotoxicology, which is the use of homeopathic formulas to assist the body in ridding itself of toxins in an appropriate and natural way.

Mary is a native of upstate NY and has returned to the Northeast after 34 years of living in Florida, drawn by her desire for community, a locally sustainable lifestyle, seasonal living and her love of the outdoors.
