City Market is proud to announce that our breakfast sandwiches are now made with Red Hen Bakery’s Localvore bread and Shelburne Farm’s cheddar. Your favorite egg and cheese breakfast sammy has gone Localvore!

CSAs provide members with fresh food each week throughout the growing season. Though most CSAs primarily grow vegetables, many supplement their produce with fruits, flowers, poultry or other farm products.

City Market customers, members and staff helped to raise over $4,200 to support the relief work in the earthquake-torn island of Haiti. In total, four Haiti Relief 1% days and donations from customers during January and February resulted in $4228.66 in funding for the Coop Emergency Fund.

The importance of eating locally isn't the exclusive discussion of food gurus and farmers-market devotees any more. Some fourth- and fifth-graders in Burlington are talking about it, too.

Our customers have helped to buy 468 hearts to benefit Art from the Heart, Burlington City Arts' effort to bring art supplies and volunteers to VT Children's Hospital. Thanks and help keep 'em coming, folks!
