Learn how to make authentic Bavarian soft pretzels and pretzel rolls with Heike Meyer of Bee Sting Bakery. In this class, you will learn about the history of pretzels (or "Brezel" as they are called in in German), try your hand at the shaping technique and make some to take home. We will have fun exploring different types, shapes and tastes of this authentic German bread specialty and you will go home with an authentic recipe and the skills to make your own pretzels in your home kitchen. Heike Meyer is the owner of Bee Sting Bakery in Fairfax, a small artisan bakery specializing in whole grain naturally leavened breads and pastries.
