From the Ground Up is a licensed home-based gluten-free bakery in Burlington, Vermont. We mill whole sorghum, millet, rice, and buckwheat regularly in our low-heat ceramic grain mill to produce gluten-free flours, flour mixes and baked goods. All of our products are made with whole grains, no starches in a dedicated gluten-free kitchen. We are committed to building partnerships with local farmers to source eggs, vegetables, fruit, and gluten-free grains.
Our mission is to further the creation of a sustainable food system.
We do this by promoting and supporting local growers, educating eaters about gluten-free grain processing and growing, and conducting trials of gluten-free grains to see what is possible in this climate.
We make wholesome and delicious food that just happens to be gluten-free.
