February & March Downtown Member Artist: Grace Doherty

Grace is an employee at City Market and an undergraduate student at UVM studying Community and International Development. In her spare time she enjoys cooking meals with her housemates and learning new things.

Grace has experimented with many mediums throughout her life, but in more recent years she’s worked closely with darkroom photography. With photography studio spaces closed due to the pandemic, she turned to cheap acrylic paints to fulfill her desire to create. Grace’s art operates as a storytelling device - there are countless experiences, ideas and influences behind all of her art. She hopes that this display gives you a peek into her life and makes you feel a little less alone in your adventure from home isolation to the grocery store.
