February Wine Picks for Under $10
In February we’re featuring good value wines from Argentina throughout the wine department. Two of our favorites are Portillo Malbec and Portillo Pinot Noir which are both on sale for $9.99, save $2. Portillo Malbec has rich aromas and flavors of plums and blackberries. This is a smooth, not too spicy Malbec with velvety tannins and a round finish. A great food wine, Portillo Malbec is an excellent accompaniment to peppery steaks or full flavored pasta sauces.
Pinot Noirs from Argentina are unique and fun! Portillo Pinot Noir has bright aromas of red cherries, ripe blackberries and subtle notes of cinnamon and spice on the nose. It’s a full-bodied Pinot with balanced brambly fruit flavors and a hint of earth on the smooth, dry finish. Great with pork or seared tuna steaks.
January Wine Picks for Under $10

December Wine Picks for Under $10
We’ve got two delightfully unique wines on sale in December that pair perfectly with the sweets of the holiday season. Not quite dessert wines, these two are on the sweet side of the spectrum and are tasty on their own or paired with dessert.
Primo Amore Moscato is a refreshing, fruity, slightly sparkling Moscato that comes from the warm Southern vineyards of Puglia. Its light effervescence carries the sweet and enticing honey and melon aromas and flavors through the finish. Excellent as an aperitif or with fresh fruit and mild cheeses, tarts or crème brûlée. November Wine Picks for Under $10
Hy-Brid is a new brand made by Lodi producer Peltier Station. This line of value wines are sustainably grown and produced and are of excellent quality. We are featuring Pinot Noir and the Petite Sirah in November. Both are on sale for $9.99.
Hy-Brid Petite Sirah is loaded with dark berry aromas and flavors with hints of earth. This monster of a wine has a rich and satisfying finish. While it is a “big wine,” it is versatile with hearty foods and is also nice on its own as the cool weather has set in.
Unpretentious and delicious, Hy-Brid Pinot Noir is velvety smooth and plump with a wildly aromatic nose. Ripe strawberries and smoky notes fill the glass and are accented by hints of rose petals and spice. It is rich and full in the mouth without being over the top and has a lovely, silky finish.
