Vermont Heritage Grazers

Vermont Heritage Grazers was started in 2007 by Alethea and Jeffrey Bahnck.  They raise Berkshire and Heritage breed Tamworth pigs outside on grass and hay, supplemented with whey from local cheesemakers, grains, and produce and nuts in season.

City Market purchases whole pigs from Vermont Heritage Grazers and Black River Meats processes the meat into the cuts our Meat and Seafood Department specifies - we're partners in pork!
