River Berry Farm (Fairfax)

David Marchant and Jane Sorensen run River Berry Farm, a small-scale organic family farm in Fairfax. River Berry grows 50 acres of organic vegetables, 3 acres of strawberries, 1.5 acres of organic raspberries, 18,000 square feet of greenhouse crops, and 400 organic layer chickens. The farm sells City Market their produce (we have their carrots through the winter!), and eggs.

You can meet David and Jane at the Burlington Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings through the summer (and we occasionally twist their arm into coming in to the co-op to serve up carrot juice!)
