Jim Kleptz started LaPlatte River Angus Farm as a hobby in 1973 before anyone even knew what grass-fed beef was. Jim, with the help of his 3 sons farm 650 acres in Charlotte and Shelburne, an amazing feat in keeping Chittenden County in working landscapes during decades of development pressure.
