Diggers’ Mirth Collective Farm was founded in 1992 by Dylan Zeitlyn at Burlington’s own Intervale. Today, the collective farm consists of five members farming 10 acres.
The philosophy in practice on their farm is that ea ch member engages jointly in the farming activities. Every year Diggers’ Mirth cultivates approximately 2/3 of the field and cover crops the other portion to ensure soil regeneration, growing over 25 types of vegetables and fruits.
Their most popular crops are mesclun and carrots. City Market carries a variety of Diggers’ Mirth products that are stocked seasonally.
