Consider Bardwell Farm is a 300 acre farm that was the first cheesemaking co-op in Vermont, founded in 1864 by Consider Stebbins Bardwell. Now, the cheesemaking operation is owned and managed by Angela Miller, Russell Glover, and Chris Gray.  The cheese is made with goat milk from the farm's herd of Oberhaslis and with cow milk from two neighboring farms. The cheeses are handmade in small batches from whole, fresh milk that is antibiotic and hormone free. Only microbial (non-animal) rennet is used in their cheesemaking and all of their cheeses are aged on the farm in an extensive system of caves.  You can find their cheese in our Cheese Department!
