Blue Heron Farm (Grand Isle)

Christine Burke and Adam Farris have run Blue Heron Farm up in Grand Isle since 2004. Certified organic, the farm produces vegetables and pastured eggs. The chickens are pastured outside during the summer months, foraging for bugs and worms.

During the winter months, they live in the luxurious tomato hoop house, helping clear out the detritus of the previous season and fertilize the soil for the next one with their manure.

Christine and Adam raise food they feel comfortable feeding to their children. There could be no higher standard of quality.

City Market sells Blue Heron’s organic eggs in our perishables cooler.
