Oakledge Park

It’s high time to throw away the notion that eating locally is a financial burden. Do you want to feel more connected to your food? To support your local economy? To support a more sustainable food system? Have it all--buy local, and don’t break the bank! Local food should be accessible to all—and we want to help you find it! Learn ways to save, respect your budget and buy food you believe in. This class will be presented by Meredith Knowles, Outreach and Education Coordinator at City Market, where she leads Pennywise Pantry tours and strives to bring education on local, healthy, sustainable foods to all. One of many free “Go Local” sessions at EAT x NE, a Vermont food festival in Oakledge Park featuring free live music, the Brewhaha Beer & Cider Tasting, and the Great BBQ Supper.
