This monthly series is a collaboration with the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program. In November, we will be preparing Brudet, a traditional seafood stew made with fish, scallops, shrimp and crab meat. We will enjoy fresh bread with the stew and learn to make Palacinke, a traditional crepe and nutella dessert. Davorka Gosto came to Vermont from Bosnia-Herzegovina over 20 years ago. She feels blessed to be one of two daughters raised by a mother who trained and worked as a professional cook in Mostar. Davorka has written a cookbook, From Mama's Kitchen: Cuisine of Herzegovina, which will be for sale at the class.
